Fast Money: Love

Sculpture
Plastic, paper (banknotes), acrylic; 20 cm
Edition: 50.

The sculpture explores the phenomenon of wealth and its transformation in Russian history, continuing Yoomoota's iconic monetary series. Created from authentic Soviet-era ruble banknotes and MMM bonds, the work demonstrates the transition to post-Soviet culture. The art object draws on the language of the 1990s, when the word "lave" echoed in every courtyard, in stairwells and alleyways. Denoting money, it became a symbol of a new era and remained forever in collective memory as one of the legends of the past.
